Led the development and implementation of a comprehensive, organizational communication plan that integrated public relations, media relations, marketing, advertising, and executive communication strategically across the organization and extended to the Health System. Departmental responsibilities included: marketing and advertising, community and media relations, communications planning, decision support (patient satisfaction assessment and consumer research), strategic planning, language services, Hackley Cornerstone Foundation, and volunteer services.

Led the management of resource development activities to cultivate investment from the community, which resulted in the creation of the Hackley Cornerstone Foundation in 2000, and a successful $3 million capital fund drive. Diversified donor acquisition strategies to include Foundation activities, newsletters, direct mail, special events, donor recognition and planned giving programs that resulted in increased giving and increased donor base.

Responsible for the creation, implementation, and project direction of all communications initiatives, including media relations, exhibition catalogues, and donor/member communication. Coordinated special events and exhibition openings including 75th Anniversary Gala, museum re-opening, and a Presidential visit. Upgraded and expanded the museum membership program, supported exhibition underwriting initiatives, and created campaign infrastructure for a successful $1 million capital renovation campaign. Facilitated the museum’s first mission statement, first strategic plan, the museum’s first national accreditation (1987) and re-accreditation (1998).
