She is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (CA Lic#48627) & Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher with a private practice specializing in Holistic Psychotherapy for Sexuality and Somatic Therapy. Melissa is a gifted teacher and speaker. In 2011 she won the Sexual Intelligence Award for her work promoting positive sexuality and sexual health in Uganda. She is a regular teacher for Stanford University's Healthy Living Programs.
