About Melissa White

One of the main themes from my work experience has been supporting people. My first job out of college was supporting a team of Sales Representatives at the BBB, helping them to research and connect with good companies in the marketplace that deserve BBB Accreditation. At DIRECTV, I supported trainers in Denver & Tulsa so they could facilitate new hire and leadership training at our largest call centers, making sure we provided quality customer service. At DIRECTV and AT&T, I was able to pivot to HR Technology, which allowed me to support employees across the organization by managing employee data and job changes in Workday at DIRECTV, leading risk analysis projects to keep in compliance, and eventually implementing Workday at AT&T. For me, supporting people looks like: 1) Connection: I shine when I can collaborate cross functionally with team members from different departments, different specialties, or outside vendors so I can fully understand a process or problem from various perspectives. 2) Purpose: I like to focus on relating a company's mission and legacy to continuous improvement; how we can do things better for employees, customers, or the community to make a positive impact. 3) Growth: I learn by doing and treat every new project, new solution, new way of working, or new stakeholder as an opportunity to translate my skills and theories into practice. I am an analytical and empathetic leader with 14 years of experience working with teams in Sales, Learning & Development, and HR Technology. I am looking for a project manager, business analyst, or change manager role in a company where I can build meaningful connections, align my values with the work that I do everyday, and satisfy my curiosity by understanding how and why we do things.Over the next 5 years, I will continue developing my leadership style, leaning into my compassionate nature to connect with team members on a personal level and build a supportive atmosphere with an emphasis on mutual trust. I would like to use my Business Analytics education and work experience to apply structure to complex projects and timelines as well as analyze the impact of the decisions we make; I want to work on projects that are transformational.
