As a business-minded leader with a focus on people, I specialize in creating dynamic, inclusive cultures while achieving business objectives. As I reflect, business has always been a key focus for me. My father was an entrepreneur and the owner of a printing company. I grew up working for him – started off filing negatives, waiting on customers and making rubber stamps. When I was older, I delivered finished products and nurtured customer relationships. The supper table conversation often included talking finances – monthly sales, receivables, payroll and how to incentivize employees. In my formative years, I learned what it took to attract and keep customers – and engage employees to achieve business goals. My approach to human resources is to start with an understanding of the business, its customers and its products & services. This understanding is key to how I engage with people and leaders. Regardless of continent or culture, I have observed business success is dependent upon the need to make employees feel needed and valued. Combining this knowledge with leadership and passion creates healthy, dynamic environments where people are invested in an organization’s success. My skills and expertise have helped me find success in various industries including domestic LTL freight, direct advertising, high tech, global healthcare and nonprofit membership association. I am grateful for the people and mentors I’ve met along the way – plus the opportunities to build foundations for organizational structures and create environments for people to do their best work.My personal sabbatical was an incredible time in which I traveled, reconnected, mentored, consulted, volunteered and completed personal projects. In addition, I joined Educational First Steps as a board member to support early childhood education. Recently joining GracoRoberts to serve as their Chief People Officer, I'm excited to be part of a rapidly growing company in a new industry, where our focus is to unite people by keeping aircraft flying and allowing our military to protect and serve.I am ready to serve as a private or public independent board director where my experience will be valuable to an organization currently navigating the world of work during a period of seismic change. Also, couple more things about me:MBTI type: ENFJTop 5 Strengths per StrengthFinders: Woo, Strategic, Achiever, Communication and Positivity

Personal SabbaticalSabbatical Break Jan 2022 - Oct 2022My personal sabbatical focused on traveling and exploring new places, reconnecting with people, finding beauty in simplicity and giving back to my community. I had opportunities to be of service along the way through mentoring, coaching, consulting and volunteering through rescue and other non-profits. This break saw the completion of personal projects and the settling of a family member’s estate. After ten months of this personal sabbatical, I now look forward to being part of a for-profit organization creating opportunities and transforming cultures to achieve business objectives.
