I have over 15 years of experience developing and executing integrated marketing and communications programs for health brands, with sub-sector expertise in health systems and pharma. I have worked with leading pharmaceuticals companies including Roche, Janssen, Bayer, Sanofi, Alcon, Novartis and Gilead; and with hospitals and health systems, such as University of Miami Health System, Houston Methodist Hospital, Baptist Health South Florida and MD Anderson. My expertise is reputation management. I have experience developing thought leadership and executive positioning programs, as well as stakeholder engagement and media relations strategies. I have also led digitally-driven global and regional health awareness campaigns, in partnership with renowned NGOs, patient advocacy groups and professional associations. Additionally, I have experience in medical communications, having managed symposia, advisory boards, KOL media trainings and the development of white papers and other scientific publications. While at Edelman, one of my Roche projects received the prestigious 2018 SABRE Awards Latin America in the Multi-market category, a Certificate of Excellence in the Superior Achievement in Reputation Management category, and was a finalist for the Platinum SABRE. I have worked across various therapeutic areas, including oncology, hemophilia, ophthalmology, women’s health, infectious diseases and hematology. I hold lasting relationships with doctors, patients and advocates in these communities. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish, as I was born in Colombia and raised in Texas. I hold a B.S. in Public Relations and a certificate in business foundations from The University of Texas at Austin. I also completed a course at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Healthcare on Quality of Life: Beyond the Frontiers of IT and System Changes.
