I am a fifth-year student studying an integrated Master’s in International Business with Spanish at the University of Strathclyde. Recently, I completed a year long university exchange at the Universidad de Loyola in Córdoba, Spain. During my exchange I completed all of the university curriculum in Spanish, it was an enriching experience which I will never forget. I am extremely of my work ethic throughout this time and I am proud to have achieved an A grade in each class and exam - despite the language barriers. I have been active in the workforce for the past 5 years - working as a swimming teacher and lifeguard. As well as this, I completed a placement working as a Student Assistant Teacher within Annette Street Primary School where I acted as a Student Teacher in a class where none of the children spoke English as their first language. These jobs have allowed me to improve my communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills and have given me the opportunity to learn about different cultures and work with a diverse range of people. I am a hard-working young woman who is determined to reach the goals I have set. I thrive from working in a team and I love to network and interact with new people. In addition, I possess a positive outlook towards life and have consistently demonstrated that during my employment and university career. In the future I would love to complete a graduate scheme in the business industry. This will further my education and professional development allowing me to build a strong foundation for a lasting career within the competitive business world.
