    As Manager of Planning and Transportation I successfully opened 2-miles of continuous waterfront walkway along downtown Miami's bayfront and obtained commitments from multiple property owners to upgrade lighting, improve maintenance, and increase safety. I lead transportation initiatives including a forum in collaboration with Miami Dade County’s Neat Streets Miami to discuss techniques for Mayor Gimenez’s Complete Streets Resolution and Federal Transportation Secretary Fox’s Mayor’s Challenge. Additionally, I developed an interactive web based tool to track all multi-agency infrastructure improvements in downtown Miami.

I developed a new zoning code and design standards, for the former 56-acre Buena Vista rail yard which was transformed into Midtown Miami--the most significant redevelopment project both in terms of private investment and program size. In addition, I created a template for the Tampa Innovation Alliance--a high profile partnership with Tampa CEO’s from the University of S. Florida, Busch Gardens, the Moffitt Cancer Center and the Florida Hospital to create a strategy to reverse the declining neighborhood surrounding their holdings.I lead much of the business development initiatives for the planning group including all contract negotiations and fee proposals for new planning projects, as well as all request for proposals (RFPs) for new commissions.
