Provide highest level of support and assistance to surety underwriting staff by handling administrative and routine underwriting tasks.• Approve routine risks within pre-determined template underwriting authority.• Responsible for accurate premium registration and invoicing, coding, pricing and commission calculations of the most complex processing functions. Assist lower level underwriting assistants with complex processing transactions, ensuring accuracy within the branch.• Responsible for the preparation of management reports utilizing various company and software programs. • Research and resolve premium entry and premium collection problems.• Assist with the pursuit of information from broker/agents, and miscellaneous administrative duties. This will include, but is not limited to processing of broker/agent licensing, and contract and power of attorney administration.• Process bid and final bond requests within underwriting authority limits established for the account.• Assist in gathering and analyzing underwriting data, prescreen underwriting information and assist in underwriting less complex, routine risks.• Oversee proper completion of bond forms and compliance with state requirements.• Maintain account and bond files as directed.• Assist with analyzing, inputting, and balancing financial "work in progress" data and financial statement analysis received from contractors, utilizing computerized underwriting systems.
