A student-run non-profit volunteer organization designed to provide medical services to underserved populations founded at the University of California, Los Angeles• An international service group that travels to Maclovio Rojas, Mexico to run medical clinics, assist local healthcare professionals, conduct public health surveys, and improve local medical and social institutions• The International Relations (IR) Team extends FISH's outreach in Mexico by fostering cross-cultural interaction between FISH and the community. • Facilitated in the teaching of Spanish to the FISH associates, and was in charge of the English lessons given to the community in Mexico by providing the structure of the lessons and assistance in communicating with one another. • Served as the interpreter and translator for the organization when it came to communicating with the community of Maclovio Rojas, Mexico. • At the clinics I participated in the overhaul of the consultation station in order to provide a more holistic approach towards serving our patient’s needs. • Attended community service projects around the greater Los Angeles area, with the main focus on setting bi-weekly health clinics in the outskirts of Tijuana, Mexico.
