For 20 years, I’ve been a producer and non-profit manager, leading arts and cultural programs and organizations spanning across performing arts disciplines. My work is not just about producing intriguing artistic projects and improving how we manage cultural administration; it’s about understanding, supporting, and celebrating the diverse people and creative work in our community.I was previously the Managing Director and co-leader of a social equity driven charitable arts organization, Urban Ink, with a mission to uplift Indigenous and diverse voices through storytelling and performance. There, our work was rooted in decolonizing JEDI practices, ground-breaking projects, advocacy, and local and national partnerships. I was the Producer for the Arts Club Theatre Company, western Canada’s largest theatre company, and Company Manager for Ballet BC. As the Artistic Planning and Operations Manager at Music on Main, I helped to foster organizational growth, and was a part of co-hosting the International Society for Contemporary Music World New Music Days 2017. I spent six years working in the artistic and education departments at Vancouver Opera, responsible for the management of the Vancouver Opera In Schools touring ensemble, artistic planning, education programs, and new work development. I was also involved with Gateway Theatre, the BC Choral Federation, the Vancouver International Children’s Festival, the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, and Phoenix Chamber Choir. I was a past co-chair of the City of Vancouver's Arts & Culture Advisory Committee. I have a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Production/Design and Music degrees. I'm interested in supporting local and sustainable food systems. I'm a former Vice-Chair and current finance committee member of FarmFolk CityFolk, BC’s oldest and largest food and agriculture charitable non-profit organization. I’ve a penchant for improving business procedures and managing change with multiple stakeholders in complex environments. I've a knack for details and am intrigued by big ideas. I enjoy conversations with people who have unique stories, super secret spreadsheet tricks, evaluating process, comparative analysis of local donuts, documents with page numbers and date stamps, and discussions with honest feedback.
