She has also developed and executed communications strategy and thought leadership for organizations such as the Catalina Island Conservancy, William Morris Endeavor, Grounded.org, MasterCard, Cisco, Silicon Valley Bank, Lexus, and a number of startups. On the production side, Melissa directed and produced the video series, Border Breakers, spotlighting local founders from the Middle East and Puerto Rico, and exploring how entrepreneurship can bridge cultural divides. She also founded the Mintworthy Film Project, which provided grants and blockchain education to independent filmmakers creating climate-themed movies. Previously, she built The Toolbox, a traveling tech startup accelerator for entrepreneurs in developing economies. Cofounded by musician and activist Peter Gabriel, this platform and Melissa's insatiable, journalistic curiosity led her to traveling to 70+ countries. During this time, she wrote about diverse and remarkable founders and worked with them to implement sustainability into their operations and services.
