My role as Strategy Advisor primarily consisted of jump starting my team's foray into the cloud. I served as change agent and project technical lead, and led early definition, scoping, and coordination. I uncovered complex issues and surfaced to senior decision makers to drive resolution. We used this project to deliver a cloud-based reference architecture and bootstrap the organization into the cloud with the necessary skills to ensure continued success. I developed best practices and resolved issues such as security configurations, subscription cost models, infrastructure as code templates, and coordinated custom training for our staff on cloud to ramp up of cloud skills.
