    I ensure that the College’s commitment to diversity is reflected in all of its policies, work and practices. I lead equal employment opportunity compliance efforts. I develop college policy and advise administration on related compliance issues. I collaborate with other stakeholders to assess the need for, and recommend training initiatives addressing, cultural competency, gender differences, disability, sexual harassment, and other topics designed to increase awareness and support of diversity, equity and inclusion, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws. I serve as the primary liaison with outside counsel. I negotiate collective bargaining agreements and serve as the president's delegate to hear grievance appeals. Recent accomplishments:• As co-chair of the President’s Diversity Council, I led a group of faculty, staff and students in the development of a data-driven and evidence-based diversity plan with specific, actionable recommendations to achieve greater diversity among the faculty, staff and students and to make the College more welcoming to all. I identified metrics to monitor plan performance and established reporting mechanisms.• I secured grant funding from the State University of New York Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for diversity and academic excellence programming.• I secured two-years of grant funding from the State University of New York Office of the General Counsel to participate in NASPA’s Culture of Respect (interdisciplinary team-led assessment of the College’s sexual violence prevention and response efforts and development of a plan to address any areas for improvement).• I chaired the inaugural celebration of the current College president.

    I continued to serve as the College's equal opportunity officer. I designed and implemented staff development programs. I partnered with Human Resources to develop, implement, and administer various employment policies and procedures. I served as the College's Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) and Title IX Coordinator (TIXC). As the ALO, I was the College's primary contact with the staff of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the subject-matter expert for the College on accreditation issues. I became the TIXC following the 2011 Dear Colleague Letter and as such was responsible for responding to complaints alleging misconduct, specifically sexual misconduct, gender-based discrimination, harassment, intimate partner violence, and stalking for students, faculty and staff. I also had administrative/budgetary authority over the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, including supervisory responsibility over two full-time faculty members who planned professional development programs for faculty and administrators.
