I met deadlines and used the money to print the books, with almost all of them selling within a year.Having a photography business for years on the side and full time was a great accomplishment as I started taking photos with a point and shoot camera when I was in 4th grade. I maintained a love for the collected image and celebrated with many clients as I photographed their life milestones. Communication and project management was one of my top priorities to create a successful and long term business.Some of the best things that happened as a college instructor and internship coordinator was to witness the students walk out of my classroom with knowledge that propelled their professional lives. I have stayed in touch with many of my students and it is rewarding to see them continue in their fields and their growth personally.My family is my top priority, so time management and being organized are at my core. Creating mixed media pieces, I save old pieces of literature and publications from the landfills. I also love to lead female artist retreats and gather women who love to create. Inspiring young people, I published a book in 2021 called "Words of Art." It was a great accomplishment to receive a grant from The Kentucky Foundation for Women to help me get it.

I was the art director and travelled to photograph stories about pizzeria operators and also took all the photos of stills of pizza and food. Anything for editorial, I did. It was fun and I got to travel alot, but I was overwhelmed with wanting to open my own.

It was great to be at my alma mater. It was hard to leave, but God had other plans for me to move to Louisville after 9/11...
