Melissa is Managing Director of Trustbridge Partners, a leading growth equity investor with ~US$6 BN under management, focusing on high-quality growth opportunities in China. At Trustbridge, Melissa leads strategic initiatives & special projects, especially coordinating and managing Trustbridge's education investment & build efforts. Melissa is on the Advisory Committee for the Center for Refugee and Disaster Response at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. CRDR trains the leaders, conducts the research to promote best practices in preparedness, response & recovery. She is Co-Founder of VOICE, a student-led initiative to safeguard & promote the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child in HK. She is Co-Founder of Equalizers, an initiative providing crisis management services to individuals in intractable situations that are too complex or dangerous for most professionals.Prior to Trustbridge, Melissa was Founder & CEO of Maven International, which provided strategic advice to companies with or facing disruptive technologies or change. She was the Co-Founder & former CEO of Filligent Limited, a disruptive biotech company that developed & commercialized solutions to prevent infectious and lifestyle diseases. Innovations include the award-winning Anti-Microbial BioMask, & the SolarPod, named by The British Museum as one of the 100 Objects that define the History of the World. She is Co-Founder & was Board Member of PathFinders, a charity that respects & protects the rights of the most vulnerable children in HK & their migrant mothers. She was a Board Member of Mother's Choice, a HK charity that assists women in crisis pregnancies & children in need of long-term care. She is a regular speaker on innovation, law & women & child issues. Melissa is a member of the 2010 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.
