The Battle.net Game Service is the heart of Battle.net as a platform, providing server-level support for Blizzard social, matching and competitive game services.* 2013-2014 - Responsible for Battle.net’s Distribution Platform, Content Platform and eCommerce teams. The Battle.net eCommerce platform powers all the pieces making up our authentication and billing (accounts, payment providers APIs, micro-transaction APIs, etc.) * 2014 - Served as Site Operations Leader for Battle.net’s development teams in Texas.* 2015-2016 - Responsible for Battle.net’s Client Group which includes the development of Battle.net social features (including voice and text chat), the Battle.net Desktop App, www.Battle.net, Authentication, Battle.net Shop, and Battle.net Account Management.I led a group of 80+ talented developers. One example was our data streaming system which allows new users to play within minutes with no previous install and only a minimal download.* Responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and patch deployment of three of Blizzard’s legacy games - Diablo II, StarCraft and Warcraft III. In 2007 and 2008, this involved transitioning the products to online digital distribution through Blizzard’s new Online Store.* I mentored and trained other producers, and evaluated new processes for potential adoption. During my first months at Blizzard, I learned and implemented the Scrum project management methodology. As a result, the team saw a dramatic improvement in productivity, reliability and transparency.

Finally, I handled all press and promotions, participated in game design, and designed game levels.* GemStone IV: The fourth in a long line of successful online text-based games, GemStone IV was developed with the intention of modernizing the format, and making it friendlier to new and casual players. I managed the development of GemStone IV from inception to launch, while simultaneously managing GemStone III, and finally transitioning the customer base from one product to the other at launch. * GemStone III: As producer of GemStone III, I managed ongoing development of the product and continued to carry the responsibilities of Online Community Manager. My responsibilities included product promotion, oversight of design for new game features, and the management, maintenance and training of a large offsite development staff. I also created strategic relationships within the MUD community and other successful MUD companies for the purpose of new customer acquisition.
