My desire is to promote holistic and culturally sensitive healthcare communities to improve the quality of lives via evidence based research, solution based programs, public policy and advocacy.I earned my Master of Public Health from New York University with a concentration in epidemiology and a focus in global health. I have a BS in biology with double minors in psychology and neuroscience. My professional, academic, and volunteer experience has taken place across four countries informing my work ethic while deepening my critical-thinking, cultural, and communication competencies. Clinical and population research experience has strengthened my project management and data analysis skills while supporting a thorough understanding of the scientific method. During my time in Accra, Ghana, I was able to work with the Ga East Health Directorate. Working in Africa taught me how to collaborate effectively as part of a diverse team and how to communicate cross-culturally while expanding my understanding of global health challenges, and solutions, in our communities. This perspective informs my desire to focus my career on the improvement of population outcomes not only in my local community but in every community.
