Shell Go+: Developed Shell’s Loyalty Scheme, “Go+”, by leading and co-ordinating the design and delivery of a product that offered personalised rewards using customer transactions and self-learning algorithms. I consistently engaged with the Retail business, marketing agency and data science development team to meet customer needs, ensure the solution was working correctly and that enhancements were implemented quickly. I was present for the full end-to-end delivery – ideation, pilot in one site, followed by the full UK roll-out. Following the schemes’ success, I worked with other markets to modify the solution so that it was scalable and replicable. Integrated B2C Products: Shell has three B2C businesses in the UK, Shell Retail, Shell Energy and Shell Recharge. It is essential to begin thinking about providing a total energy solution that has an exceptional, integrated customer service experience that increases Customer lifetime value and satisfaction for those using multiple products or services. I explored each area, mapped out customer journeys, understood the customer needs and pain points, identified gaps, opportunities to test and then developed a roadmap of integrated products to resolve the frictions. I tested these propositions with customers during customer interviews. Covid Response: Soon after the first Covid-19 lockdown, I successfully lead the scale up of a physical and digital product. Using unused stock from a supplier affected by restaurant closures, food boxes were created, ordered via an online e-commerce platform and placed into a customers car boot (contact free) at a Shell forecourt in Horsham. Quick collaboration, design and development with all teams including the supplier, health & safety, external relations, the Retail business and the technology team was required to develop the solution in one month.

Undertook many analytics projects across various businesses in Shell including Retail, Trading & Supply, Global Commercial and Mobile.Shell Lubricants: Began to build the data science capability within this space by developing algorithms to provide cross-sell and upsell recommendations for account managers to propose to customers.Mobile Payments: Developed a dashboard using Spotfire to show the value of the ‘pay at pump’ mobile payments data, through a visual representation. The dashboard improved the working lives of the support teams and ultimately the service reliability for mobile payment customers. Trading & Supply: Automated a manual and time-consuming Microsoft Excel process that the traders used for compliance reporting. The Alteryx solution connected to multiple sources, extracted then transformed the data and delivered a scheduled report to the relevant traders inbox each morning.
