I currently work in the Regulatory department at Hugh James solicitors. I advise and represent various local authorities in England and Wales in Children Act proceedings dealing with serious neglect, non accidental injuries and abuse. I also represent local authorities in deprivation of liberty cases.Following qualifying in November 2020, I moved to Cardiff Council as a child protection solicitor. I represented the LA in care proceedings involving child protection concerns including serious neglect, non-accidental injuries and abuse. I also represented the LA in adoption matters and dealt with pre proceedings, section 7s and section 37s. I undertook my training contract at Gartsides Solicitors where I mainly focused on family law; both private and public and qualified in November 2020. I started my legal career as a regulatory paralegal Hugh James Solicitors, mainly working within public law proceedings. I graduated from the University of Reading in 2016 with an upper second class (2:1) LLB Law degree and I passed my LPC at De Montford University in 2019.
