As the Associate Director of the MBA Professional Development Team, part of the Eller MBA program, ranked in the top 50 Business schools in America, my role is to assist in the professional development of MBA students seeking new or elevated career opportunities. This development includes a strategy for career and professional development of our MBA student body. Areas of expertise include career and success coaching, resume and cover letter writing, personal branding, interview preparation, networking skills, and job searching.

As a team member on the integrated Student Engagement & Career Development team, I guided students in planning, preparing and implementing strategies to optimize immediate career outcomes and help shape the attitudes, motivations and behaviors that led them to long term career success. I focused on providing high impact programming to the incoming student population around part-time, campus based student employment, early career exploration, and navigating a purposeful journey in a unique career life cycle.

As a recruiter, I specialized in the sourcing and placement of qualified and talented professionals in the Engineering and Technology fields to include Software Development and Programming, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and various technical roles. I built relationships with hiring managers and assisted them in the interview and selection process of candidates, as well as supported the progress of all candidates in their temporary positions, with over 50% conversion into permanent positions.

I provided career counseling, coaching, and advising to students and alumni, including seminars and workshops on various career development topics. I also created relationships with local and regional companies and recruiters to connect students for networking and relationship building, as well as future internship and/or job opportunities.
