My name is Melissa Poveda and I have a beautiful and rewarding work experience. For the last two and a half years I have been working at Fundación Gary D.Young-Young Living Academy.During my first year at the school I worked with 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th, 5th and 6th grade (Ecuadorian 2EGB to 7EGB) as a Social Studies and Science teacher. I was then promoted as 6th grade tutor for my performance. I now teach Lengua y literatura, Estudios Sociales, Ciencias Naturales, Valores Humanos and Social Studies-Science. I have experience with interdisciplinary projects and Community Impact Projects (PIC) awarding me with the "Ecological leadership" and "School leadership" recognitions for two years in a row. My point of view and approach is modern, student centered, tolerant and respectful to the student´s individuality.I have experience teaching adults, teenagers and initial education. I have a bachelor's degree on language teaching and a TESOL certification obtained in Rennert, New York. This training has allowed me to work with students with different nationalities and cultures. This way I have been able to employ methods that target special requirements and needs. I am capable to asume teaching positions related to language thanks to my knowledge, fluency and continuous training.
