I was the sole intern to a demanding team of Senior ranking editors. Efficiency, professionalism and discretion were lifelines in this hectic, challenging environment.

Since there was a smaller staff I was given much more creative freedom. I preformed first round edits on articles to go to print, daily uploads and changes to the website, and researched relevant art happenings—local, national and worldwide—for the newsletter, which I created and submitted to my editors each day.

This gallery is run by the owner of New York Arts Magazine. During my time working in editorial, I was called upon to do double duty for the gallery. I hosted openings and contacted potential clients to exhibit their work.

This was a 3 month internship for credit toward my Journalism degree. I contributed to the aesthetic vision of photo shoots printed in Sept, Oct and Nov ‘07 issues for celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon and Julianne Moore.
