    I began working on this archive while employed with the UH Museum Studies program and have continued to work with the archive since then. For the last two years I have been guiding the digitization of the archive which is being supported by Densho, the Japanese American Legacy project.My work with the archive has included:- providing recommendations on how the physical and digital preservation of the archive should proceed;- responsible for accessioning and cataloging of photographs, newspapers, and other ephemera;- overseeing students and volunteers working on the organization and archival rehousing of materials;- monitoring the environmental conditions of the archive storage facility;- researched and helped create a plan for the relocation of the archive to a more suitable environmentally-stable storage facility; oversaw the preparation of the new space and the physical move of the archive;- assisting students, scholars, and researchers who have an interest in the archive;- overseeing and coordinating the digitization of the archive.
