Directed the implementation of the TRIO Student Support Services federal grant program for low income, first generation, and students with disabilities. Interpreted and complied with federal legislation set forth in Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR) to include program management, staff supervision, student eligibility and enrollment, academic advising and support, financial aid, annual performance reporting, record keeping, and budget administration. Provided program services to enhance student engagement, persistence, academic performance, retention, timely graduation, and transfer to baccalaureate institutions. Collaborated with college faculty and staff to provide a diverse, inclusive, and student-centered environment of success to address various cultures, identities, learning styles, and life experiences. Served as a member of the Developmental Studies Task Force and also on the Equity, Professional Development, and Mentoring college committees. Wrote follow-up grant proposal and secured over $1,000,000 in funding for a new four-year grant cycle.
