ADULT AND PEDIATRIC HEARING AID Proficient in earmold impressions/modifications, hearing aid selections (conventional aids and bone-anchored implants), hearing aid fittings (using real-ear verification and/or RECD measures), hearing aid delivery and orientations, hearing aid follow up visits, hearing aid clean/checks, and amplification troubleshooting (at Mama Lere Hearing School and Same Day Clinic). Completed tinnitus evaluations, tinnitus counseling and management. Program and document incoming hearing aid repairs. Experience with a variety of manufacturers: Phonak, Oticon, Oticon Medical, Cochlear, Starkey, ReSound, Unitron and Widex. ADULT AND PEDIATRIC COCHLEAR IMPLANTS Experience with Cochlear Americas, Advanced Bionics, and MED-EL devices for cochlear implant work ups, implant processor mapping, activation appointments, counseling, aided detection testing, and speech perception testing. Competent in electrically evoked stapedius threshold (ESRT) measurement. Administer AIM system integrity testing to assess for Advanced Bionics V1 failure.

Vanderbilt University, Cochlear Implant Research Lab: Assemble a preliminary Pediatric Cochlear Implant Use Questionnaire (PCIUQ) with collaboration from outside researchers, complete data entry from medical records for a variety of projects, recruit participants and produce a working manuscript evaluating ESRT data.Vanderbilt University, Auditory Physiology Lab: Examined the impact of stimulus rate variation and jitter versus non-jitter stimuli on the efficiency of the Late Latency Auditory Steady-State Response (LLASSR) in normal hearing, adult participants.Vanderbilt University, Listening and Learning Lab: Administered, entered, and reviewed questionnaires about experiences with listening-related fatigue to children with and without hearing loss, their parents, and their teachers (VFS-CHL). Created, assembled, and distributed recruitment materials. Conducted a literature review for a grant proposal.

Executed LLASSR and Medial Olivocochlear Reflex (MOCR) data collection and data analysis on 27 normal hearing adult participants. Software utilized was IHS Duet system and R statistical software. Attended weekly trainee seminars and composed manuscript of project findings.

AABR newborn hearing screenings (Vivosonic equipment) in NICU and Newborn Nursery. Identified and documented risk factors for late onset hearing loss. Informed parents, physicians, and the state of Tennessee of results. Educated families on recommendations and trained new hearing screening techs in test set up and counseling of results.
