With 30 years of experience in the advertising and marketing industry, I am passionate about providing creative solutions that break away from the field. As the CEO of Dark Horses, a creative agency focused on sport, health, and wellness, I lead a team of talented and brave thinkers who challenge conventions and deliver results for our clients. In addition to my role at Dark Horses, I am also a Director of Menopause Mandate, a not-for-profit organisation that lobbies for more support and education around menopause. I am proud to be a member of WACL, an influential network of women leaders in communications, and to be recognised in the IPA iList 2022, which celebrates the industry's change-makers and role models. I enjoy working across different sectors and disciplines, from FMCG and retail, to finance, automotive, travel, and of course, sport and health. I have also done business consulting for some of the UK's biggest businesses, as well as running training programmes and workshops. I love how the worlds of advertising, content, experience and products have converged and continue to evolve.

Founder & CeoNow Advertising Apr 2011 - Jun 2019London, London, GbNow was about unconstrained thinking.Whether it was expressed as advertising, brand strategy, design or analytics, we always looked beyond what’s usually done to break conventions to find new ways to solve client problems. We were completely independent so we could be 100% unconstrained in our thinking. -
DirectorIpa (Institute Of Practitioners In Advertising) Mar 2014 - Apr 2019London, GbI spent five years on the board of the IPA, supporting the agendas of Ian Priest, Tom Knox and Sarah Golding during their tenures as President. During that time, we succeeded in gaining professional accreditation and incorporation by Royal Charter for the IPA. On the Membership Committee, amongst other things, we vetted newcomers and managed existing members; we overhauled the accreditation programme; and we extended the reach and relevance of the organisation beyond ‘advertising’ and into all marketing and media. -
DirectorThe Pool Ltd May 2016 - Aug 2018I was asked to join the board of The Pool by Sam Baker and Lauren Laverne, the founders of the online platform making inspiring and original content for busy women, after we took a minority stake. The Pool was a refreshing, non-judgemental platform for women to write interesting articles, that also enjoyed fashion and beauty. Essentially an online magazine, it was neatly divided into bite-sized chunks, covering anything from politics to literature, food to shopping fixes. We successfully built a brand with a regular readership of over 1m, with multiple awards, loyal and passionate readers, and industry acclaim. It was an amazing rollercoaster with unprecedented reader engagement and passion for the brand. A truly innovative business which we successfully sold in the summer of 2018. -
Managing DirectorMcbd 1999 - 2011London, GbI joined MCBD shortly after their launch as their only account director. I was made Head of Account Management in 2003 and Managing Director in 2007. I worked across a rage of clients including Department of Health, Waitrose, P&O Cruises, Travelocity, Tetley, Greene King, Vision Express, Blacks and Millets. -
