Dr. Melissa Shipley is a fellowship-trained specialist in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. She obtained her Bachelor of Science at The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, with a double major in Biology and Psychology. She received her Doctor of Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where she was designated as the school's first President's Merit Scholar and was selected as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her Ophthalmology residency at the University of Florida. Her fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus was at the Storm Eye Institute at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she trained with a number of experts in the field.Professional: Dr. Shipley has lectured and presented research in her field at several recent national meetings.
