Dedicated volunteer from classroom to schoolwide initiatives. Led creation and implementation of parent involvement in newly created Makerspace, including creating a robust donation program and several afterschool and family events for the school community. As chair of annual Birthday Book Club, increased literacy engagement and promoted reading while building school library collection.

Member of the Independent Oversight Committee that annually reviews the District's compliance with the terms of the voter-approved Parcel Tax (Measure B). Confirm all expenditures meet the requirements as stated in voter-approved Parcel Tax (Measure B).

As president, I work with the school principal, teachers and parent committee members to develop programs and focus on school goals and the school environment. Annually, we develop the Single Plan for Student Achievement and recommend the plan to the State governing board for approval. We monitor the implementation of the plan and evaluate the results.
