For more than 60 years, MEDA has been designing and implementing innovative and effective market-driven economic development programs that improve the livelihoods of millions of people living in poverty around the world. As one of their Regional Directors I worked with the Resource Development Team to increase financial support for MEDA from new donors, existing donors, foundations and others in North America. I developed and maintained relationships with donors and investors through personal contacts, phone conversations, written communications, conferences and other means.Stewarding a list of 75 donors through cultivation, ongoing evaluation, gift proposals and recognition to an 86% increase in gifts in one fiscal year.

Friends Fiduciary Corporation provides financial services to Friends schools, retirement communities, meetings, and other Friends organizations. In addition to socially responsible investment management, Friends Fiduciary provides charitable giving administration, support, and resources for Friends organizations and their donors. As Program Director, I provided oversight for all aspects of planned giving, trust administration and constituent education programs. Accomplishments included:• Facilitating gifts from more than 250 donors to establish Charitable Gift Annuities in excess $10.5 million over six years, resulting in an increase to the total pool to $14.7 million.• Creating and adapting educational programs on financial management and fundraising for various audiences within Quaker organizations and Meetings. • Planning and implementing biannual educational conference for development staff from Quaker organizations; increasing attendance by 33% over three conferences.• Assessing the needs of company in day-to-day administration and suggested new procedures for office administration and growth of the Charitable Services program.

Accomplishments included:• Revamping community Nursery School program and increased enrollment by 25% in two years. • Administration of church office and supervision of secretarial staff and volunteers. • Implemented annual community event to raise funds for missions and community programs.
