This project carried over from ConocoPhillips where I worked on the Rock Creek from June 2016 until February 2018.-Collaborated as part of a multi-disciplinary team which included the area reservoir engineer, geophysicist, petrophysicist and land negotiator to evaluate crown landsales, expiries and joint venture opportunities such as ION’s.-Acquired 1/2 section of crown land within a key strategic area of the Brazeau Rock Creek adding 2 HZ well inventory locations.- Generated an inventory of 55 technically recommended horizontal oil prospects in the Brazeau area with a 10 year appraisal and development plan.- Planned the first horizontal appraisal Rock Creek oil well in the Brazeau area for the company.- Prioritized a 10 well program for the Gilby Glauconite Formation for potential add capital budget.- I contributed to the value of the Clearwater divestiture packages through identification of 231 inventory locations in the Rock Creek, Ellerslie and Ostracod formations and 57 recomplete/bypassed pay opportunities in existing wellbores. Geological contact for the Glauconite Formation inventory in the Gilby and Hoadley areas.-Presented locations, recompletes and bypassed pay opportunities to engineering evaluation firm.-Prepare maps for virtual data room (VDR).-Handle day to day operations including landsales, expiries, ION's, ROFR's, and abandonments .-Provided geologic support to the reservoir engineer for reserve evaluations. This area has extensive historical production from vertical wells in a subcrop edge play. The project involved revisiting the old petrophysical model and working with the petrophysicist to create a new model calibrated to core data. I used Spotfire software to compare petrophysics, core and production data together to analyze the data for trends to evaluate what drives production. - I worked with the Acquisitions and Divestitures (A&D, BD) group on the divestiture packages for the Clearwater area for the Rock Creek, Ellerslie and Ostracod formations. Exploration Team -I gathered and integrated Rock-Eval geochemistry data to evaluate the potentially prospective source rock play of the Triassic Doig Phosphate Zone shale focused on identifying the liquids rich gas thermal maturity window. Integrated geochemistry (Rock Eval, Vitrinite Reflectance, Gas Geochemistry) and geologic data for the geological characterization of the Duvernay Formation.-Planned and executed two horizontal exploration wells in the Duvernay in the Willesden Green area with extensive data collection programs. This included core from a vertical pilot well as the associated data analysis.-Geological lead on the Falher and Wilrich play fairway mapping project. Kaybob Asset Team- I was responsible for generating and maintaining an inventory of technically recommended prospects through geologic mapping and in collaboration with the area engineer and geophysicist in stacked Cretaceous natural gas plays.- Evaluated crown landsales, maintained expiries, and communicated with partners on joint venture drill programs.- Ranked opportunities based on seasonal access, regulatory restrictions, land tenure issues and partner priorities.- In… Show more Kaybob Asset Team- I was responsible for generating and maintaining an inventory of technically recommended prospects through geologic mapping and in collaboration with the area engineer and geophysicist in stacked Cretaceous natural gas plays.- Evaluated crown landsales, maintained expiries, and communicated with partners on joint venture drill programs.- Ranked opportunities based on seasonal access, regulatory restrictions, land tenure issues and partner priorities.- In my time in the Kaybob team I identified 52 stacked pay vertical and horizontal prospects within the Cretaceous Dunvegan, Cadotte, Wilrich, Gething and Cadomin formations within a multi-disciplinary team including the area engineer and geophysicist. - Acquired 12 sections of land in key development and exploration plays.-Sucessfully drilled the first Wilrich horizontal exploration well for the company in the Leland Area. Responsible for completion zone identification.-Participated in public Open Houses on our operations in Saskatchewan educating the public on the geology of the Milk River and our drilling operations.- In collaboration with my team I worked with the A&D group on the divestitures of the Lethbridge and Freefight properties (Burlington). The geological assessment from the Bow Island and Base of Fish Scales increased the value to the Lethbridge package. Formal presentations made to marketing and engineering firms.Viking Team (April 2006-June 2007)- Completed a study of the Viking Formation in the Richdale/Stanmore area to evaluate remaining reserves and potential for recomplete and downspacing opportunities. Resulted in 5 wells with recompletion potential.Killam Area-Reviewed existing land base in 46-14W4 for additional Mannville Group (Lloydminster, Sparky, Rex, GP and Colony) drill locations or recomplete potential.-Worked in collaboration with the area engineer on P/Z plots (material balance) for remaining reserves on existing producing wells.-Skilled in structural mapping for conventional trapped reservoirs to identify potential drill locations.-Reviewed potential acquisition opportunities as they were presented.-Regionally mapped various Mannville coals in the Viking and Camrose areas for coalbed methane potential using Landmark software.
