My name is Melissa Mena-Schneller, though you are welcome to call me Mel. I completed my Master of Science degree in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from The Purdue Graduate School while working full time as a QC chemist for Eli Lilly. I took on training roles and audit-based investigations within manufacturing product quality controls. This job included analytical quality testing, approval and release of Lilly product batches, implementation and modification of SOPs and validated methods with cGMP, deviation and trend investigations, and FDA compliance initiatives. I have recently accepted a unique opportunity to work with both the HSE and research side of Lilly as a trace analysis chemist, a role that includes method development and the engineering of novel sampling devices. The enclosed resume contains a detailed look at my educational background, work experience and skills.
