Since beginning studies in Game Design and Development in 2008, Jackson has accrued 5 years of professional experience in the games industry, in addition to the 5 years of education and working 12 months with SAP, making major contributions to multiple projects primarily in programming and leadership roles. Despite having a solid understanding of C, C++, Java, Actionscript, and SQL, Jackson has spent most of his career specialising in the C# language - the result of the Unity Engine's uptake for smaller game projects, and through Microsoft Silverlight providing the base for SAP's Business ByDesign - resulting in a currently level of expertise that he would describe as "Pretty good I guess?", and by his fellow industry programmers as "Really insightful and helpful when I'm stuck on a bug!". In addition to his programming skills, Jackson's passion for volunteering at various international developer-facing and consumer-facing conferences has lead him being recognised as a competent leader of small teams, experience that he has utilised over the course of his professional life.Jackson's career goal is to ensure that the potential for games as a positive societal force is constantly being explored: creating a platform for exploring and strengthening relationships, reflecting society in thought-provoking ways, and, of course, providing hours of wonder and delight.
