I support the Learning Design and Digital Innovation (LDDI) team by promoting our work and activities, making use of my expertise in graphic design, editing, and web and print communication strategies to help LDDI share our projects with the UBC community.

I help businesses, organizations, and self-publishing authors polish their print and web publications and make every word shine. I offer a range of marketing and communications support services, including copy editing, proofreading, graphic design, and photo editing and restoration. I also design eye-catching book covers and interiors, and I love working with authors to bring their vision for their book to life.

As Fundraising and Special Projects Manager, I wrote and edited government and foundation grant applications which brought in over $150,000 over two years. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I developed an online music education platform to help keep audiences engaged and entertained while they were unable to attend concerts in person. I worked with my team members to produce a wide range of content for the platform, including web pages, courses, downloadable PDFs, graphics, and more. I also produced and edited virtual interview and concert videos that increased the number of subscribers to the VRS YouTube channel by 40% during my tenure.

As the office administrator I managed the day-to-day functions of the office and assisted my team members with marketing, fundraising, box office, and production tasks. I also assisted with email marketing in MailChimp, wrote letters to donors, proofread critical documents such as the season brochure, and updated the WordPress site blog and web pages.

As the administrative assistant for Concord’s construction department, I prepared and proofread construction contracts, ensuring that they were clear, consistent, and free of errors. I also prepared meeting materials, purchase orders, letters, and other documents for the Vice President of Construction and other team members.

In my role as research/recruitment assistant, I worked with companies throughout the Lower Mainland to help them find and recruit the perfect candidates for their open job postings. I researched suitable candidates, reviewed resumes, conducted interviews, and helped both candidates and employers navigate the hiring process.
