As a performing freelance musician, I have achieved years of experience not only as a classical musician, but also as a contemporary violinist. With opportunities like performing for local symphonies and local composers, I have also had the privilege of performing and recording modern contemporary pieces for the ACTOR Project held at UBC. I firmly believe that the key to successful collaborations is through clarity of communication — with honesty and open-mindedness between composer and player.I teach private violin to all ages, encouraging growth through music and the instrument. It is important to me that the students’ curriculum is customized to balance technique and artistry for each individual in order for them to reach their personal music-making goals.
