I provide analytical services to the water and wastewater industry in Australia, including microbiological assessment of wastewater, whole community DNA analysis and microbial source tracking. I am proud to be part of a unique team that delivers training on biological nutrient reduction and microbiological monitoring of WWTPs to operators and engineers around Australia. I have been focused on developing and applying molecular techniques for improved management of Australia’s domestic and industrial water resources since 2005. I was formally trained and employed as a Geologist with the Geological Survey of Canada, with a focus on mineral exploration and sources of toxic metals (particularly mercury) in the environment. I have also worked in plant pathology of broad acre crops (pulses) as a member of an international industry-lead research team that seeks to improve food security.
