Leads a 7-member HR and payroll team on payroll, benefits, HR compliance and day-to-day processes. Works with legal counsel and other departments to ensure HR practices comply with federal, state and local laws. Processes weekly multi-state payroll for over 500 associates timely and accurately. Reconcile and file federal, state and local tax withholdings. Processes annual employee statement W2s and ACA 1095 Statements. Processes ADP Wage and Garnishment on weekly basis (more than 30 per week). Assists the Corporate Controller with payroll and benefits general ledger account reconciliation. Implemented ADP Workforce Now (WFN), HR & Benefits and ACA Compliance. Implemented one source documentation and paperless system in company's document imaging system (OnBase) to create efficiencies using electronic personnel files. Streamlined benefits enrollment process by building weekly file feeds to insurance carriers, efficiently reducing enrollment processing by 80%. Acts as a benefit liaison between carriers as well as assisting employees with enrollment issues and claims resolution. Manages benefit plans (medical, dental, vision, life, supplemental insurance), account reconciliations and assists with 5500 filings. Reviews benefits annually and facilitates open enrollment process each year. Coordinates on-site Nurse Practitioner clinic, annual Health Risk Assessments and other wellness initiatives. Manages Short-term Disability Claims, LTD, Workers' Compensation claims and FMLA leave. Administers HIPAA Privacy compliance as company's appointed Privacy Official. Prepares weekly SOX reporting and assists with annual audits. Administers 401(k) plan and assists with annual audits. Prepares Affirmative Action and EEO reporting and assists with filings. Performs new hire onboarding, resolution of employee relations issues including disciplinary, separations and investigations.
