In this role, I'm responsible for expanding SAND's distribution in Germany and internationally. A particular focus is on building relationships and working with independent bookstores and distributors on stocking and invoicing, as well as overseeing administrative communication with writers, translators and artists.

I offer translation and consulting services to a wide variety of organizations seeking to incorporate a racial justice lens into their work and/or center the stories of Black people. I translate and/or from a racial justice perspective guide clients through the process of a translation project.I help organizations understand how structures produce and reproduce racism and discrimination within their fields and what centering voices and narratives of Black people and people of Color experiencing multiple forms of discrimination in equitable ways can be realized.Some of my past clients include: Penguin Random House, Aki Verlag, Initiative Schwarze Menschen in Deutschland (ISD), University of Warwick, Akademie der Künste, S. Fischer Verlag, Unrast Verlag, Amnesty International, Orlanda Verlag, Diversity Arts Culture and Berliner Projektfonds Kulturelle Bildung.

I managed the strategic development and implementation of two portfolios on race, migration & health equity and on sex worker rights and Trans justice with a budget of USD 1+ million, supporting 25+ rights-based grassroots grantees within these fields. I focused specifically on narrative cahnge work within the geographies Western and Eastern Europe. Overseeing complex aspects of grantmaking, including tracking expenditures, managing budgets and administrative processes, provided me with the opportunity to further build robust management and organizational skills developed during my tenure in the non-profit sector.

In tandem with arts educators, I offered a sex education tour entitled: "Let's Talk About Sex!" for teenagers through the Bodemuseum exhibition "Sculpture and Painting 13th-18th Century". Based on several sculptures such as the "Der Barbarinische Faun"(1799) "Die Tänzerin mit Zimbeln" (1809/12) or "Satyr und Nymphe"(18th century) we engaged students on topics such as gender presentation, sexual orientation, vulva respresentations (and the lack thereof) and sexual consent using multimedia tools.

I offered age-appropriate classes to pre-teens and teens between the ages of 8 and 16. Topics included, but were not limited to anatomy, body positivity, puberty, sexual consent, sex & pleasure, birth control, Plan B, STIs & condom use. In addition, I offered sex education trainings to social workers, teachers and youth workers. They included: Introduction to Sex Education: The Basics, Introduction to Sex Education- Advanced, Sexuality & Disability and Health Education in Early Childhood Education. I also provide consultations for individual educators or teams of educators on how to develop health education curricula for their schools and youth projects. I managed the interns at our site who complete 2-6 month interships in sex education and reproductive health.

At BPOC Community Yoga Berlin we offer accessible, affordable Yoga classes to Black people, POC and people who experience racism in Germany. I founded BPOC Community Yoga Berlin because I grew increasingly distressed about my experiences with racism in Yoga classes and centers. Soon after I started being excluded from attending classes altogether because I could no longer afford them. I discovered that I was not alone. So many others had similar experiences with discrimination. As folks with larger bodies, Queer people, Black People, People of Color, working class people or working poor people they shared that they felt othered within many Yoga classes. I learned that there are many people who are searching for a space to practice Yoga where they feel visible, supported and comfortable to deepen their yoga practice and build relationship with themselves. The intention of the BPOC community class is to open up a space where we can return to ourselves and feel at home in our bodies as we navigate structural violence such as racism, poverty and homophobia within our lives and within the Western Yoga world. This class seeks to decolonize Yoga by offering an affordable, inclusive and empowering Yoga class that is open to every body. Each and every body has its own story and whatever your body‘s story may be it‘s welcome.I invite you to explore how yoga can be a tool to find balance in your life, to relax, to build strength, to step into your power or to simply let go. BPOC Community Yoga Berlin community Yoga class we‘ll practice breathing exercises, warm-up exercises, the sun salutation, a series of about twelve yoga poses and a restorative final relaxation.

Queer@School is comprised of a group of youth and young adult volunteers who offer peer-to-peer education workshops on gender and sexuality across Berlin. Most of these workshops take place in high schools and vocational schools, some at universities. As the project assistant, I support youth as they prepare for the workshops and (re)write curricula or create new methodologies used in workshops. I am also responsible for writing and editing website content and managing the Queer@school facebook page.

At Each One Teach One (E.O.T.O) e.V. I build a library catalogue, purchased new books for the archive and supported the preservation of several collections, including the collection of Afro-German activist Vera Heyer.

As PR and Education consultant, I conduct outreach, establish and maintain relationships with immigrant organizations and/or organizations whose family histories include stories of migration, and organizations by people of color in Berlin. I recruit immigrant women and women of color who want to start their own businesses. I.S.I. e.V.offers free long- and short-term seminars conducted by immigrant women and/women of color business owners and educators on topics such as German business law, creating an online business, market analysis and financing a business. In this job I also write/edit website content, manage social media sites, create content for outreach materials such as flyers and brochures and write press releases.

I offered one-on-one counseling and workshops on the following topics: condom use and negotiation, birth control options, options counseling, pre-conception care, healthy relationships, intimate partner violence, STI testing, Plan B breastfeeding, abortion support services and HPV and cervical cancer. I assisted in writing/editing the Sex Matters curriculum to create engaging lessons on sexual pleasure, gender and sexuality.
