Melody Jefferson is currently studying to take her state test for LMHC within the next couple months, followed by starting her Doctorates in the Spring 2024. For more than 10 years, Melody has volunteered off and on at different shelters, food pantries and churches. She is one of the group leaders at Celebrate Recovery in Statesville, NC and she also apart of the Statesville Board Committee, advocating for Mitchell Community College and local groups to help those in need. She has spoken at different events on addiction, mental health and advocated for the less fortunate. Melody has volunteered hours of community services helping families in need. Her desire is to work with those who struggle with depression, addiction, family issues and more. She is a highly motivated individual who excels in everything she works towards. She is known to be goal-oriented and passionate about change. Due to Melody having a ruff start in her early twenties, Melody has personally experience, living a life of struggles, addiction, depression and more. Because of this, she has the ability to relate to those who she is trying to help. Melody received her Peer Support certification in 2020 and has maintained it through out the years. Melody changed her whole life around and hopes to help others see that there is more to life and that anything is possible. With the right company, she hopes to be the glimmer of hope for those who are in the dark.
