About Melody Scheefer

As a Dartmouth-trained physician with over a decade of specialized clinical experience, I’m excited to transition part time into nonclinical medicine, where my expertise and passion for patient-centered care can make a broader impact. Working as a plastic surgeon, I led two clinics with a strong focus on individualized care, managing complex aesthetic cases and wound care. These roles helped me refine key skills, all of which enhance patient outcomes and drive healthcare innovation: - interdisciplinary collaboration- data interpretation- evidence-based practiceMy professional journey has also been shaped by resilience and empathy, qualities deepened through my experience managing a medical illness. After a recent family health leave (2023–2024), I’m ready to bring my skills and insights to a new role, whether within healthcare or in a nonclinical setting.I am driven by the same purpose that led me into medicine: a commitment to helping others. I am especially interested in new roles involving teaching, public health, consulting, wound care, telemedicine, medical aesthetics, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. I welcome connections, questions, and potential leads for opportunities in these fields. Please feel free to reach out via LinkedIn or email at melody.scheefer@gmail.com.
