Shecurrently serves as a consultant with Greater Baden Medical Services, Inc. aFederally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving in Prince George’s, Charles andSt. Mary’s Counties in Maryland and is an elected member of the Maryland StateSenate. Ms. Griffith has provided national training and technical assistance tomore than 50 groups and organizations in the areas of board development,marketing and outreach, team building, advocacy, leadership, diseaseprevention/wellness promotion, advocacy and capacity-building.  In addition to volunteering as an HIV/AIDS support group leader forWhitman Walker Clinic in Washington, D.C., her professional experience hasincluded work for nearly a decade as Vice President for External and GovernmentAffairs of a Federally Qualified Health Center, (FQHC); Licensed IndependentClinical Social Worker; Research Project Coordinator; Local Health DepartmentProgram Director; Deputy Director for an Arts Non-Profit; Hospital DischargePlanner, and as Program Coordinator for the National Basketball PlayersAssociation Health Education Project at the Johns Hopkins University.In 2014, Ms. Griffith received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Lettersfrom Virginia University, Lynchburg, School of Liberal Arts.  In addition tosuccessfully completing the Community Health Leadership Program, through theSatcher Health Leadership Institute, at Morehouse School of Medicine. Ms. Griffith earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Services fromMontana State University –Billings, (formerly Eastern Montana College) withconcentrations in Psychology, Criminology, and Rehabilitation.
