Lead ScientistRealeyes3D Aug 2008 - Jul 2010Realeyes3D designs, develops and markets innovative image-based usages and technologies for camera phones that bring new functionality or cheaper alternatives to existing features.Visual Cortex is the best-selling software library for mobile copy on camera phones, with over 150 million copies sold and shipped factory-installed by mobile phone manufacturers to date.Motion Cortex is the leading software alternative to hardware accelerometers. It turns the camera into a motion sensor, thus reducing materials and integration costs for mid-range phones. In addition, Motion Cortex is an essential complement to accelerometers in smartphones.Qipit turns smartphones and other mobile phones into mobile copiers. Any paper document, page, whiteboard, paperboard, can be scanned, saved and shared in just a few clicks. Some technical keywords: Embedded Image Processing - Image processing, image restoration : blind deblurring, denoising, inpainting. Image segmentation. Document Image Analysis. Motion Estimation, Optical Flow, Egomotion. Application : cameraphone. -

Research Scientist, Applied MathematicsÉcole Des Ponts Paristech Sep 2005 - Aug 2006Study a class of models describing plasticity in a single gradient at the mesoscopic scale. The fundamental interest of this class of models, is the opportunity to explore the link between the descriptions of dislocation densities obtained by homogenization on the one hand and on the other more traditional modelsThis work is centered on simulation and numerical analysis of this class of models coupling the linear elasticity equations with Hamilton-type equations. Proposition of a coupling algorithm: finite difference method (“upwind” scheme) for hyperbolic part and Fourier expansion for the elliptic part (developed in C++/linux, routine of GO ++ (Geometric Optics and related problems (Hamilton-Jacobi equations) and their applications (wave propagation, combustion, image processing, finance, ...) )). -
Postdoctoral Research FellowUniversité De Reims Champagne-Ardenne Jan 2003 - Jul 2005Study blind source separation by Independent Component Analysis (ICA). The goal of ICA is to recover independent sources given only sensor observations that are unknown linear mixtures of the unobserved independent source signals. Proposition and implemenation of new blind source separation algorithms (in C/linux and in matlab) for the SurVib project.SurVib [2003-2006] : ” Monitoring of industrial machines per vibratory diagnosis in a strategy of predictive maintenance ” : a cooperative project involving the CResTIC (signal processing group) Lab, the GMMS lab (Mechanics, Materials, Structures Group).and two compagny : SPIM industry (Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance) ; and the CETIM (the technical center of the mechanical engineering industries ).Supervision of M. Sc. students (working on BSS) and phd students (on optimization problems). -
PhdUniversité Pierre Et Marie Curie Sep 1998 - Dec 2002The aim of this thesis is the numerical analysis and the discretization of Maxwell's equations. The first purpose is to investigate time-harmonic Maxwell's equations in Lipschitz and multiply connected 3D bounded cavities. The starting point is the curl-curl second order equation satisfied by the magnetic field. we introduced an appropriate compact operator to prove the well-posedness of the current source problem. Next, we propose a discretization relying on spectral element and numerical integration. We prove the convergence of the discrete solution to the exact one and we derive errors estimates. The last part is to propose a mortar spectral element method for solving heteregeneous Maxwell's equation in 3D bounded cavities. Our method is based on non-conforming decomposition of the domain. The first part is devoted to the presentation and the numerical analysis of the method. In the second part, we expose some numerical results which confirm the performance of the method. -
