Responsible for the management of the firm's real estate acquisition, development and permitting processes and act as in-house general legal counsel for all of the real estate, mining, construction, hospitality and other affiliated business ventures including management of outside counsel in litigation, compliance and transactional matters. In this role I source and assess new commercial, residential and industrial prospective real estate development projects and assets. I work with real estate brokerage professionals, civil and environmental engineers, architects and internal stakeholders to vet potential projects for permitting and financial feasibility and I coordinate the internal and external teams to manage the acquisition and entitlement process with local, state and federal boards and agencies. Once permitted, I provide oversight and assist in the management of the ongoing business aspects of the project during construction, lease-up and property management and disposition.
