I started my career in the hospitality industry in 1982 as a continental breakfast host and worked as a night auditor while attending The University of North Texas to acquire a Bachelor of Business degree. I have held foundation positions as a Front Desk Agent, Room Attendant, Maintenance Engineer, Security Guard, Host, Server, Bartender, Line Cook creating a path to management as a Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Internal Auditor, Rooms Division Manager, Assistant General Manager to become the General Manager of the Comfort Inn Herndon, VA in 1993. I have held General Manager positions at several Choice, Wyndham, Marriott, and Hilton brand focused and full-service properties. I have been the General Manager of the Hilton Springfield, VA since 2004 and am currently a GF Hotels and Resorts Area General Manager, a member of the GF Transition Team and proud member of the GF Excellence Council. I love the daily interactions with team members and guests. We are in the unique position to share and be a part of memorable life moments of those we serve.
