I spent 22 years in public education, 14 of those years in school administration. During those years I led a school to move out of school improvement; garnered a $1,000,000 technology grant and the distinction of being chosen as Cisco Technology's 21st Century Model School; oversaw the restructuring of my school as a model technology site; developed and mentored numerous educators who became educational leaders; and was chosen Administrator of the Year twice by Hattiesburg School District,. But my proudest joy is the lives my staff and I touched and changed as we ministered to "the whole child" in our schools. We were able to favorably impact the lives of our students in ways that will aid them in developing into productive, happy, honorable citizens and workers. We "enabled our students to become lifelong learners by providing academic excellence daily."Since retiring, I have shared my expertise by providing training and coaching to school leaders and teachers in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and St. John, Virgin Islands. I have experience in conducting school-wide audits, presenting professional development, and providing size - by- side coaching.
