Key responsibilities• Identify the presence of normal and abnormal cell components, identify abnormal blood result levels by performing diagnostic analysis of Blood, Urine, Stool, and other body fluids such as Cerebrospinal fluid, Synovial fluid, Peritoneal fluid using microscope or automatic analyzer.• Perform blood extraction in Out- patient and In-patient department, labelling of samples from patients for testing.• Receiving and checking of samples, example urine and stool, submitted by patients for testing.• Perform Quality Control and Calibration of analytes before processing of samples to ensure quality assurance of results.• Perform daily machine maintenance to ensure that the machines are in good shape before use.• Troubleshoot machine asper manufacturer manual when errors are encountered.• Inform Laboratory Chief Medical Technologist if supplies are in critical level for additional purchase.• Validate result and enter data from analysis of medical test into computer for print out and storage.
