With over 20 years of experience in coaching and training managers, supervisors, and executives, I am passionate about helping people achieve their professional development goals and reach their full potential. As the founder of Capers Consulting, LLC, I provide customized coaching, training, and speaking services based on proven leadership practices and principles. My areas of expertise include leadership, communication, management, and strategic planning. I am a certified facilitator in diversity and inclusion, DiSC behavior assessment, change management, and process improvement efforts. I have worked with clients across various sectors and industries, such as government, education, and nonprofits, facilitating workshops, delivering keynotes, and conducting assessments. I have also designed and taught communication, leadership, and management courses during and after my 27-year military career. As a John Maxwell certified coach, I have ccollaborated with individuals and organization to explore viable alternatives to helping them get to the next level of excellence in their professional careers.For nearly my entire adult life, I've either served as a military active duty member or a federal civial servant coaching and training managers for their elevation to the next level of leadership. I have had the privilege of preparing future leaders while serving as a classroom instructor teaching leadership courses as well as writing leadership curriculum. As a classroom instructor, I taught advanced communications and management courses to active duty, military reserve and guard, and Department of Defense civilian managers. I had daily collaborations with the Air Force Personnel Center's staff to coordinate policy issues involving the C&I civilian workforce and performed as a classroom instructor teaching advanced C&I management training to Air Force active duty, Reserve, and Guard C&I military and DoD civilian managers. The most rewarding part of this job was my opportunity to provide feedback and recommendations to Air Force leaders on training effectiveness and the direction of the Air Force Enterprise Information Management/Records Management career path.As IT Project Manager for the Air Force Departmental Publishing Office (AFDPO), I managed a team responsible for the design and implementation of the Air Force Information Management Publishing Tool (AFIMPT). The team I led provided beta testing for the tool and was responsible for providing data-driven feedback that reflected the tool's impact on the efficiency of established Air Force publishing programs. I also developed, interpreted, and implemented programs, policies and procedures that paved the way for annual planning, programming, and budget formulations.
