My specialty encompasses gene therapy and oligonucleotides, offering guidance on feasibility, delivery, and translational strategies to the clinic.Prior to this venture, I dedicated eight remarkable years to uniQure Biopharma, where I most recently served as Vice President of Global Research. In this role, I led a cross-functional team, managing a diverse gene therapy portfolio and spearheading innovations such as miQURE® and goQURE™.My academic foundation includes a PhD in Human Genetics from Leiden University, focusing on genetic therapies for neurodegenerative disorders, complemented by a Master’s in Biology of Disease and a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from Utrecht University.I possess extensive experience in patient, scientific, medical, regulatory, and investor communication, having presented at international conferences and engaged with regulatory agencies.
