In my position as Senior Manager for our Data Migration services, my team and I are responsible for moving petabytes of data from legacy media such as backup tapes and analog film, to the Lyve Cloud public cloud. My team consist of Operations, R&D, and Project management. I also work directly with the sales teams in customer calls, going over our offering.

As Senior Manager of the worldwide operations for Seagate's Data Recovery services, I am honored to work with some of the smartest engineers in the industry. In my role I am responsible for development of key performance goals for direct and indirect reports, ensure the creation and implementation of strategies to increase the operational efficiency and ensure the overall quality of the work. Around the same time as taking on the position of global manager, I was asked to join the Amsterdam Site Management Team, representing the Services department most senior leader.

As the EMEA Data Recovery Lab manager, it was my job to facilitate the recovery engineers and support staff so they may execute their job in the best way possible. I started out with a full lab renovation, pushing it to be fully ESD, EHS and eSecurity compliant. During my time as local lab manager, all metrics such as turnaround times and output efficiency, saw a significant improvement.

Starting at Seagate, I would recover data from media with a wide variety of problems, including physical, electrical, and firmware damage. Replace defective read/write recording head assemblies and transplant platters on defective hard drives. Analyze and repair damaged file systems and deleted files.
