I am so grateful for all the assistance I have received after my father passed away from cancer, and all the devistating costs I incured for his care, not to mention everything I lost paying for it; and the community assistance program stepped up to keep me from going insane and were the most wonderful people I have ever met and worked with. So when they asked me if I would please volunteer and help others, I felt a great sigh of relief being given the opportunity to serve others who may have equally encountered the hardships that I did, and to let those people know that we're here to help them and not let them down. Mom always said, "Practice random acts of kindness every day" and I humbly appreciate this opportunity to live up to such great standards.
