I have graduated and will graduate from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Biomedicine, specialising in Microbiology and Immunity (2018), and a Master of Public Health, specialising in Epidemiology and Biostatistics (December 2020).My skills include wet lab work (such as pipetting, microscopy, FACS, ELISA), genome analysis using software, academic and research literature searching and report writing, proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, presentation and public speaking skills, and, more recently, data analysis (basic statistical tests such as z-test, t-test, and ANOVA, and univariable and multivariable linear and logistic regression) using both R and Stata.Additional skills I have learned in my Public Health degree includes qualitative analysis of data, the design, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs for use in various urban and rural areas, including report writing and grant writing. I have also done several projects which involve the Indigenous setting, and the importance and application of the associated ethics.Skills that I am currently learning include more advanced statistical models such as survival analysis and regression of rates, the study of genetic epidemiology and infectious disease modelling.I am currently working on a research project as part of my Master's Degree within the Allergy and Lung Health Unit, in the School of Population and Global Health within the University of Melbourne, which involves quantitative data analysis.My past achievements include being granted an opportunity during Junior College to participate in the Harvard Model Congress Asia 2013 in Hong Kong, where I took on the role of a World Health Committee representative from Senegal, in which I presented a case for Senegal regarding malaria and mental health during WHO briefings and the general summit, and I have visited a rural school during high school where our team was assigned to teach biology to the students, of which I was appointed as team leader.
